go on a getaway to our hometowns

Being with family is wonderful. We spent last weekend with my family in Taichung and Nantou and this weekend with both of our families in Taichung and 雲林. My mom’s been in my sister’s in Kaohsiung since this Thu, so my dad’s alone at home. We had dinner with him yesterday and then continued going down to 雲林 to celebrate my in-laws’ birthdays with a Sugar Spice cake. We had dinner again with my dad at 赤鬼 Steak House on the way home today.

We spent this long weekend with my parents and brother in Taichung and Nantou. We arrived at my parents' Friday afternoon. My brother arrived at night. We went on outings to Nantou, my dad's hometown, together the next two days. After we visited 2 pineapple cake factories, my dad's student invited us to his sugar cane juice factory. We're excited to see the filling and capping machines and enjoyed the fresh juice.
