My dad's 70th birthday fell on Moon Festival in 2017! It's a breezy day after sweltering hot days! We celebrated at Thickly Cut Steak House and went hiking at 18 Peaks Mt with my parents and brother.
Moon Festival 2018 occurs on Monday, Sep. 24, so we got a long weekend. We left for my in laws' on Saturday and I visited my parents with my sons the next day. I enjoyed the family gathering in my hometown. Nice to see my parents, brother, sis and her children! My husband and father-in-law met us in Taichung and came home together on Monday.
Moon Festival 2019 fell on Friday, Sep. 13, so we got a long weekend again. We left for my in laws' on Friday, visited my parents the next day and went hiking together at Sitou on Sunday. We found some vegetables (川七) by the parking lot and picked some home.
Moon Festival 2020 occurs on Thursday, Oct. 1, so we got a long weekend again. We left for my in laws' and had a barbecue on Thursday and then visited my parents the next day. My brother quitted his job and came back from China in Sep. I'm happy to spend this holiday with him!
