What will you do if you win a big lottery prize?

There were 3 lucky winners of the top prize yesterday. Each got over 6 hundred millions! About US $19,202,454. The news makes me want to start to buy a lottery ticket sometimes. “You're more likely to get hit by lightning than to win a big lottery payoff.” That's right! But, what if I... ^_* Hmm... What will I do if I win a big lottery prize one day? Saving, enjoying life with my family, donating some money, traveling, buying a new house, and quitting my job when I don't want it!

Christmas outing

Finally, it cleared up. After I went to the hair salon this morning, we took the MRT to Taipei Zoo and expected to take a cable car ride. But, it hasn't opened yet so I enjoyed blowing bubbles in front of the entrance of Taipei Zoo.
We found the cute punk puppies at a pet store on the way to Taipei 101. One is brown on the top wearing a necklace (in the pic), and the other is green. Really cool!
We walked a long way today. I wore a new pair of La new shoes, my sis gave me. Too tight! My poor feet~ Before taking the MRT to go home, we saw a sidewalk singer near 新光三越 Square. It's 江明學! Nice voice. We sat to relax and listen to his singing. A wonderful ending of today!

I'm a lazy woman

I like to go to the hair salons, especially when it's damp and cold. Several nearby salons put up posters advertising for shampooing for $100 recently. Good news to me, a lazy woman. I never spent money having my hair washed during my schooldays. But, I've changed. Because my energy has gone down with age, I become lazy to walk, wait, and do some things. When going out, I'd rather take a taxi at times than wait for a train or bus. Well, I know age is a bad excuse for laziness. But, career women should treat themselves well, shouldn't they?
After brass band practice, I arrived at Shu-Lin Station at around 22:10 yesterday. I felt tired and wanted to relax, so I looked for a cheap salon. Guess what?! I found 巨星! $99 for shampooing and neck & shoulder massage! It's my first time to come to this salon. I enjoyed it!

Skiff

We went to 八里 and had lunch at Skiff yesterday. We found the popular restaurant online. People love the Mediterranean building and Skiff attracts many newlyweds-to-be choosing the location for their wedding photos. It serves Italian food. The main courses were fair, but I liked the building.

Fall in love with petunias

We went to 建國 Flower Market after lunch at 懷石 this Sun. afternoon. It's crowded. I stopped at an aquarium area for a while. There were many colorful decorative tanks. Finally, we bought some petunias. I put them in the balcony, and can't wait to see them after leaving school everyday. Also, I sowed some sunflower seeds this Mon. and found one's sprouted this morning!

Taipei 101

We had dinner at a Thai restaurant in Taipei 101 yesterday. After dinner, we went up to the observatory. Admission fee to the 89F is $350 and extra fee to the 91F outdoor deck is $100. Visitors mail the postcards on the 89th floor.

Teachers also need encouragement

Shao-Chen, a 6th grade good-looking boy from a single parent family, used to truant and smoke. Luckily, he's well-behaved in my music class and likes to stay in a while playing the recorder when I dismiss the class. I think he's made progress lately. But, he's missing again this morning. The school broadcasted to ask him to go back to class.
I was happy to see him walking into my class this afternoon! He's late, though. As usual, he stayed after the bell rang. I seized the chance to talk to him. “I like music class.” he said. I was so glad about that. It's the advantage of guiding him for me. I hope to see him progressing every Thursday music class.

Europe trip 2006

Ko-Shin, Dai-Rong and I spent almost 1 month traveling in Spain, France and the UK. We arrived in London and purchased the tickets of The Phantom of The Opera for July 28 at Her Majesty's Theater on July 10. I like to watch people. Before flying to Barcelona by easyJet flight, we walked around the next morning. After our trip to Barcelona and France, we took the Eurostar from Paris to London (2.5 hrs) on July 28.
Of course, we didn't miss must-eat British foods. English breakfast- eggs, bacon, sausages, bread, mushrooms, baked beans, tomatoes. Fish and Chips- fried fish with French fries.

July 13-17 Cantonigros
Leaving Ko-Shin and Dai-Rong in Barcelona on July 13th morning, I went to join the festival with Taipei Teacher's Choir in Cantonigros, in the north of Barcelona. The good news was we won the 3rd prize in the mixed choirs!
Our conductor, accompanist and I stayed in a friendly and sweet hostfamily during the 4 nights. The host father is an Italian and the host mother is a local. They have 3 adorable children. They prepared wonderful dinner, a party and invited their friends. The backyard was full of laughs every night. What a great time we had together!
In Taiwan, I usually have supper at 6:00-7:00pm. Can you believe people in Spain have supper after 8:00? We had 4 meals a day. We had breakfast at hostfamily. The festival served lunches and suppers in a big tent. Eating with other choirs was fun! And, we had supper again with our hostfamily after coming back from the festival. It's 10:00-11:00! Good for my weight. ^_^
