I've joined Chinsuei Chorus since the end of Feb. We'll perform on July 3. Practice is on Sunday afternoons. My sons sometimes go with me. They study, read and walk around to wait for me. We usually have lunch at one of our favorite restaurants Café Grazie on the way there.
Regis took part in the annual school science competition on March 5th and got good results. He's rented a better violin from Elephant Music since April 6 and practiced for Taiwan Music Competition. He's started swimming lessons again since May.
We did our 13th camping trip with my junior high classmate and her friends at 仙境露營區, Hsinchu in the middle of March. Midterm exams were approaching. It's a nice experience that Felix got up to study in the mountains at 6:00.
We spent Children's Day weekend with my dad, brother and sister's family at Shan Lin Si. Hiking in the cool mountains was so relaxing!
I was on one week school crossing guard duty from April 15. It's such a busy rainy week! At noon on April 18 I was informed that a student had tested positive for Covid-19. The whole class couldn't come to school, so I had to teach them online the next day. I reviewed how to work on Google Meet. At noon the next day I injured my right middle finger when closing the windows and it took one month to heal. And then when I was in class in the afternoon, a homeroom teacher came inform me that a student in the class who was on leave had just been diagnosed with Covid-19. Within two days this was the second suspended class I teach! As soon as the class left, I sanitized the entire classroom again. Immediately after that, I gave the first suspended class an online lesson. I went get my third dose of Covid vaccine on the afternoon of April 20. As of May 3, one third of the classes at my school had or were taking classes online!
My husband's school started one week online classes on May 2. Felix's school started one week online classes on May 4. I started blended / hybrid teaching since May 12. Besides, my children started online private music lessons again.
