My sons are crazy about Three Kingdoms and my brother sometimes goes on a business trip to China, so my father suggested traveling to China (Beijing, Luoyang and Xi'an) together! Besides, I hadn't traveled abroad with my mom. These reasons persuaded me to visit the old country again. I started planing the trip in March and discussed the itinerary with my sis. Before the trip, I watched YouTube videos about the tourist attractions with my sons. We finally made it with my parents, sis and her children and created lots of great memories that'd make us smile for a long long while!
China is too crowded and everything is huge. We (4~71 years old) did a lot of walking, over 10 km almost everyday! People have to show passport to buy transport tickets and must go through security check (fingerprint, facial recognition, etc.) at every tourist attraction, MRT, bus and train station. Chinese always cut in line. We had to be aggressive to prevent them from cutting, otherwise we'd find ourselves at the back of any line. So when you travel to China, be prepared to hold your own in line.
It's interesting that people don't close the bathroom door when using the toilet. Service is bad. We needed to bargain all the time.
