This summer vacation was different and kind of boring at first. We spent most of time staying at home due to Covid-19. Teachers can get vaccine for free during the summer vacation. I was informed to get first AZ vaccine dose on July 21. The next day my head seemed heavy, I felt sore and weak all over, had a slight fever (up to 37.7℃) and felt like vomiting once. I stayed in bed most of time. My husband's side effects were slighter after getting an AZ vaccine on 23rd. My dad came stayed with us for a few days just after getting first dose of Moderna vaccine. He brought papayas from his garden and a pizza. We visited Shenkeng and Lala Mt. together. He took my sons to my sister's for Father's Day weekend and my niece's birthday. My mom's there too. My husband and I watched American medical drama TV series The Good Doctor. Felix came home to continue three week summer classes after the weekend. Regis stayed at my sister's for a few more days. When they came back, we watched this TV series together and then Felix said he wants to be a surgeon!
After Felix's summer classes, my mom took my sister's kids to stay with us for one week. We visited nearby Mu Xin Pond and had a good time.
Before school starts, we spent 2 days with my junior high classmate and her family celebrating Regis's 10th and her daughter's 8th birthday and visiting Hsus Legend, ProDuck Farm, Yulan Tea Garden, Songlo Trail and Bee Farmer in Yilan.
