My kids aren't fussy eaters.They eat what they’re served, or they don’t eat anything. I’m not a whiz in the kitchen nor interested in cooking. This machine is what I really want!

We got this bread maker last week.

second try: homemade bread + red bean and Job’s tears soup for breakfast

My sons were my little helpers. They tore dried berries into small pieces and put them and nuts into the machine last night.

Happy Mother's Day



Time really flies! My sis and I are mothers of 2 already! Felix, 4 year 9 month old, made this for me in the kindergarten and said Happy Mother’s Day to me. We celebrated with my parents at ikki yesterday and then my hubby and Felix went down to see my in-laws.

Kaohsiung trip

After the school sports day last Sat., we went down to Kaohsiung to see my sis and her newborn baby boy. My parents and brother also stayed at her place last weekend! Happy to see all of my family there. We went to a concert with my sister’s husband and her daughter on Sunday and had dinner with my college schoolmates Dai-Rong, RYJ and 美慧 at Jade Garden today. Had a really great time!

I took this afternoon off to have afternoon tea with 玟君 at Perfume Dance and buy 3 pairs of socks for my sons at Mega City. I ordered a Mozzarella chicken bacon sandwich $220 and a French Kiss hot chocolate $150. Delicious~

Tomb Sweeping Day weekend 2014

On my way to my parents this Friday afternoon, I was informed that my grandma from my mom's side has kidney failure and is in a coma in ICU. I went to see her on Friday and this evening before coming back to Taipei. It's nice to see many relatives who I really like this long weekend.

My grandma, 84, who's an adorable old woman was always full of energy before falling down in a faint in her field a few years ago. She's devoted her whole life to her 9 children and 18 grandchildren. She speaks only Hakka, and I could speak only Chinese and understand very little Hakka when I was a child. We could understand each other most of the time! I miss her talkativeness, dishes and desserts.

三峽 trip

After biking at Taipei Uni. and walking a lot this afternoon, my sons fell asleep without a bath by 19:50. I'll take them to try out a free Cloud Gate Dance class tomorrow morning.

 

my parents’ visit

My parents arrived at my place last night. My sons were excited seeing them after getting up this morning. Today's McDonald's Breakfast Day and it offered free egg McMuffin. My parents went to wait in line to get free hamburgers and brought one to the school for me when I was teaching the choir. I felt sooo happy being their daughter!

We visited my auntie who owns a photo shop to take passport photos this afternoon. They're traveling to Japan again next month. I'm also in the process of planning a family trip to Japan for this Aug.

My parents have stayed at my sister’s in Kaohsiung this week. We, all get sick and cough, enjoyed dinner at Easy House Vegetarian Restaurant in Taichung yesterday. Have you noticed I have a new hairstyle? I went to a hair salon this morning.

Valentine’s Day with the kids

Today’s Valentine’s Day and Lantern Festival. My hubby brought back a rose and McDonald’s in the cold wet evening. We watched Splendors of The Sea by Discovery and enjoyed the delicious McDonald’s. The kids had fun playing with the paper lanterns.
