graduation season 2019

The 6th grade graduated on Thursday, June 13^th. It's cool that I have only 12 classes left a week till the end of the semester!
I had lunch with my senior high classmate at Artco33 on June 18^th. Felix ranked 3rd again in the class on the final exams. Regis got a 98 on his Chinese exam and a 96 on math. My husband and I had lunch at VeryThai and went see Aladdin with my father in law at VieShow this Tuesday.

My dad’s been with my sister and her children in New Zealand, so my mom’s alone. I took my sons to Taichung to spend the weekend with her after finals.

Dragon Boat Festival weekend

We spent the 3 day weekend with my mom and in laws. Just before the Dragon Boat Festival, my mom came back from New Zealand after staying with my sister and her kids in Auckland for 5 weeks. My dad's been with them since June 5. They'll come back together next month.

We visited National Museum of Natural Science again and enjoyed reading at Caves Booksore on Sunday. My mom gave us a green pepper and some sweet potato leaves from the yard.

Felix took part in the annual school science competition for the first time on March 9^th and got a good result with other 2 partners. I'm proud of him! He enjoyed the 1.5 hour challenges and told me he wants to participate in it again next year!

I arranged our school song with MuseScore for a ceremony. There's more I can do. I'm still learning how to use it.

We attended my cousin's wedding lunch in Miaoli and visited my uncles and aunts on March 16^th. I gave my uncle and aunt photos taken during the winter break. So happy to see my parents and relatives!

Both of my sons took part in the audition for the school talent show. Felix's practiced Bach Cello Suite No.1 Prélude since last year. After a half month practice, Regis performed Kuhlau Sonatina Op.20, No.1 Allegro. They still needed to work harder before the show on April 3^rd.

We spent this 4 day Tomb Sweeping Day weekend in our hometowns. We visited National Museum of Natural Science and Wuqi Fishing Harbor with my dad and nephew on April 6^th and had lunch at Mr. 38 the next day. We came home on Monday early morning.

My parents went see my brother in China for 9 days in middle April. I took my sons to my parents' house to care for the cat, fish and plants on the weekend. My sons spent some time studying Chinese for the coming exams at my parents' apartment. I practiced singing for the coming folk song competition.

We went see Avengers: Endgame April 24^th as a reward for my sons' exam results. Regis and I had dinner with the teacher's choir members at Howfun on May 1^st.

After two years, my Canadian tenant moved away on April 28^th. My dad came stayed with us for one night for the school sports day. He, my sons and I left for Taichung for the apartment rental after the celebration on May 4^th. I rented my apartment out for $20000 a month (including security and parking) that night! They moved in middle May. I paid an agent $10000.

My mom, sister and her kids have been in New Zealand since April 26. My dad came stay with us for 2 days. We went hiking on May 19 and saw a German film Sein letztes Rennen the next day. I recall my sons' first marathon 2.5 years ago. It's wonderful that three generations saw the warm and inspiring film together on a cool rainy night!

I attended a conference at my alma mater the last weekend of May. Glad to see my schoolmates! My husband and sons went hiking. They left home earlier than me.

Finally, I finished my teaching demo on May 27, our 12th wedding anniversary!
