Felix started swimming class this afternoon. It's a group class of 6 kids for 10 days. Coincidentally, the teacher was my husband's student and I met 3 of my colleagues who also took the children to the class. My husband and Regis were in the water and I stayed by the pool.
The water was deeper than Felix's height. The teacher put some benches in the water so the little kids could stand on them. After 70 min class, my children stayed to play in the pool. By accident, Felix missed a step and fell down the benches. He can't hold his breath yet. He sank and waved his arms around vigorously. About 5 seconds later, finally he grasped my hand! I thought he'd be so scared that he wouldn't want to get into the water again. To my surprise, he went back quickly!
July 19, Sun.
We planed to camp with my college classmate RYJ and her family at 喝納灣, 南庄 today. They went up from Kaohsiung, we went down from Taipei, and we met in the middle. On the way to the campground it started to rain in the afternoon, so we decided to cancel it. After we talked and had coffee and these 4 boys had fun together at the coffee shop of the campground, we went home. Really nice to see my old friend.
July 26
We’re all sick. Felix had had a slight fever since July 17 and he’s
had a cough. Too bad we stopped swimming lessons. A few days later, we all have a cough one after another. My
husband even had a fever. Besides, I had red eyes and have had eye discharge for
about a week or so. Every morning when I wake up, my eyelids feel sticky, and I
realize that there’s a gooey pasty substance coating the area along my eyelids.
And then, Regis got the same symptoms, but he’s slight. Hope we get well soon.
Almost 6 year old Felix picked the flap book for a prize for 15 days without wetting his bed.

Super Typhoon Soudelor is

My sis invited us to her daughter's 3rd birthday celebration. My kids and I arrived in Kaohsiung this afternoon. My husband teaches summer classes and my in laws have stayed at our place since Aug.3rd, so he didn't come with us.
