My husband's colleague invited us to join his bike tour along Dahan River. His family is energetic. We headed over to 大溪 after lunch on Oct. 6. The round trip is 45 km. I ran over a snail by accident on the night return trip. Considerate Felix knows I have very poor eyesight, so he kept warning me when I was passing dangerous areas or he saw snails. My legs got sore. I'd had a cough for a few days and it got worse ><
4 days later, on the National Day, we're taking a challenge to 三坑 (round trip 60 km) with my husband's colleague at first, but we failed...
After breakfast at McDonald's, we rode 5 km to visit them on the way. They planed to give and borrow us their used 20 inch kids bikes, and then we left their place together at noon. My sons rode the 20 inch bikes for the first time and were ahead of us. Just beside their community, I saw Regis from 20 meters away riding straight into concrete fence as he's riding down the slope fast. I guess he couldn't reach the brakes in time. Before he cried and Felix yelled, everything's silent for a few seconds and I told myself "nothing, nothing..." I wished. When I reached him, he's bleeding badly with blood on his face, clothes, pants and the ground. He got a laceration on his forehead. I was afraid of blood and looking at the wound. My husband held Regis in arms and pressed his forehead to stop bleeding. I called 119 and then moved the bikes to the colleague's basement parking lot with his wife. When my husband and I went to the ER of Far Eastern Hospital with Regis, Felix stayed with my husband's colleague.
On the way home, Regis said it's his first time to take an ambulance ><

My husband insisted Regis stayed home from school the next day. His older sister came help care for Regis.
