The kids went back to school on Sep.1st. Felix got up at
5:30. His father drove him to the station. Felix took the MRT and then walked to
school for his first day of junior high! He shared his first day with us
excitedly after school. He said he made friends, the senior schoolmates were
friendly, the washrooms are clean, etc.
The next morning, Felix got on the school bus at about 6:30. He's taken several tests since school started. He's happy to tell me that he participated enthusiastically in class and was praised by his English teacher. He enjoys his busy school life and challenges. After practicing the cello, he fell asleep at 9:30 PM!
I'm glad Felix quickly adjusts to the new school life. After we hug each other, he's brave enough to leave home and walk through the park to wait for the school bus in the dark on winter mornings. He's friendly, innocent and lively so he's always popular in his classes. He's studied hard since junior high. Hope his dreams come true!

Felix needs to work harder on math. He took math and English tests on Jan.24 in order to transfer to a math science class. Too bad he didn't make it because he didn't do well in math. His English is better than his peers. The school asked if he wants to transfer to a bilingual class. After talking, we decide to transfer to a bilingual class from next term. After all, the bilingual students generally do better in math than his class. Hope he can be in the top 100 among 988 same graders.
