Christmas month 2018

At the beginning of the month, we visited Caves Bookstore, Taipei Expo Park and Shilin Night Market after Felix's cello lesson. Both of my sons spent $50 on toy soldier bricks for themselves at the market and were excited to keep talking about this on the way home!

My parents came back from their China trip on Wednesday night Dec. 5th and stayed at my place before going back to Taichung. My father went home for the pet cat and fish the next morning. My mother stayed till the Sunday evening.
Felix took part in the annual school handwriting, speech and math contests and got good results this month.
Dec. 15th was a busy day. I took part in a choir competition at Changhua Art Center in the morning, went see Felix's piano performance in downtown Taipei in the afternoon and had dinner with my college classmate from Kaohsiung and her family at Le Ble D'or. The round trip by bus, high speed train, taxi and MRT was about 380 km!
We sang 3 songs. One Taiwanese song My father's Lunchbox, one Philippine song Dahil Sa'yo and the other was Indonesian song Yamko Rambe Yamko.

Glad Felix got the opportunity to play on Fazioli piano for the first time!

enjoying a class lunch party Dec. 21st
SATURDAY, Dec. 22, 2018, was winter solstice. We still worked for the coming 4 day New Year weekend. I got the delicious food from two grade 6 classes in the morning. Not bad for the makeup day!
My husband and Felix went to Taichung Flora Exposition with our community the next day. Regis and I ate out. My father in law arrived at night for routine follow-up at Far Eastern Hospital and left on Boxing Day. Both of my sons are good helpers. During my father in law's stay, Felix ran errands and Regis washed vegetables when I cooked dinner.

On Boxing Day morning, they found Ninja bricks in the sock! My husband prepared it. I guess he saw the letter to Santa.

After the choir performance, I went down to my sister's with my sons on Dec. 30 and came back home on New Year's Day. My parents were there too. We enjoyed playing music, cooking and baking and had fun at PaPark in Dream Mall on New Year's Eve.
