Christmas month 2025

My lovely sister came up to visit me at the end of November and stayed for two nights. We played four-handed piano, played the board game Saboteur 2 with my kids, went to see the movie Eternity on Dec.1, and she even cooked a healthy dinner. In the middle of the month, she came north again to accompany me and help us clean the mattress. My kids had a great time playing 1A2B and Chinese checkers with her.

My mom came to our place the day before Christmas Eve and returned home after having lunch with us on Christmas Day. Felix played basketball and had lunch with his junior high school classmates on Christmas Day.

I met my junior high school classmate twice this month. She invited me to her place for lunch on the 26th and specially made chicken soup for me. That day, Felix sprained his left ankle while playing basketball at school, so we bought a pair of adjustable crutches for NT$550.

My brother arrived the day before his birthday. The next day, he and I had lunch at LE BLE D'OR and received a complimentary 6-inch cake. We celebrated his birthday together at night.

Saturday, Oct.30 was Felix's school sports day. Monday, Nov.1 was a "make up weekend day". He didn't go to school. I was happy he accompanied me to work in the morning and gave his former homeroom teachers coffee to express his thanks. After lunch at a Korean restaurant, I went back to work and he went home to study and practice the piano in the afternoon.

Felix is almost a full on teenager, moody and gets annoyed easily about what I say or ask him to do. He doesn't like me to hold his hand when going out. He isn't as cute as he was.😭 I know he’s just a typical teenager. He's kind and academic and ultimately a good kid. I'm happy he likes to talk with me and snuggle close to me, and studies harder and tries to care about me more often since he started junior high.

Regis participated in Taiwan Science Festival with school science research club at National Taiwan Science Education Center the whole weekend of the middle November. He introduced the visitors to the constellations. I'm proud of him. Felix and I went see him on the Sunday afternoon after lunch at Café Grazie.

Both of my sons' exam results are the best birthday gifts! Regis ranked 2nd and got top scores on math, English and social studies exams in his class. Felix ranked 1st in his class of 45 students and got top score on English exam! In the meantime they've been preparing for music competitions.
